Batteries

The camera has two battery slots for Canon BP-900 series batteries. The left battery slot (facing the back of the camera) has priority over the right battery slot. Refer to Power Priority for more information.

The camera charges the batteries when the camera is off and a power cable is connected.

The recommended models of Canon batteries include:

  • Canon BP-975

As much as 50% more recording time than the BP-955. 4 LEDs indicate the remaining battery life.

RED shall not be liable for any damage to this product and/or accidents such as malfunction, fire, etc., caused by the failure of incompatible batteries (e.g., a leakage and/or explosion of a battery pack). Please note that repairs arising out of the malfunction of incompatible batteries will not be covered by the warranty for repairs.
